JUGs live!

"I'm sorry we missed the meeting last night, however we were able to watch via the live steam which was EXCELLENT." was the response to a first time experiment by the Joomla User Group Brisbane.  The 23 in the room were joined by around 75 other people from Australia and possibly around the world - an awesome result given the live telecast was not really promoted.  The streaming, via ustream.tv, allowed dynamic and sometimes jovial interaction with a much wider audience (to be honest we couldn't really fit many more people in the room anyway).  This is something we will definitely be trying again.  Here's to getting 1,000 virtual visitors at our next JUG meeting!
