Hi Dex,

Just realized the March meeting must be coming up. Check the website and suddenly realized I was suppose to email you.

Enjoyed the new meeting format last month. Like many, working by yourself it can be difficult at times. So being able to bounce ideas around and chat with other Joomla people is great.

I'm still very keen on receiving feedback on one of my Joomla sites.
Don't really have any imitate problems with the last site, other than it was pretty rushed. But probably would like some feed back on a couple of security issues with it.
What do you think?

Cheers
Sue

here is the Sam Moffat Links
I mentioned the "components folder of course this won't work!, Doh" but others listed below - might be worth protecting

"You may also wish to apply access restrictions to the following front end directories as well: cache, tmp, modules, libraries, languages, and logs. You can do this simply by putting in a .htaccess file in each of these directories (or symlinked back to a common file, such as htaccess-deny in your site directory)"

"disable_functions = show_source, system, shell_exec, passthru, exec, phpinfo, popen, proc_open"

Peter's HTACCESS SEF rewrite

===

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^pbwebdev.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ www.pbwebdev.com.au/$1 [L,R=301]

===

will rewrite sub pages and correctly as well as root level all to www.

Note, you should match this up to what ever you have defined in webmaster tools and your XML sitemaps. Keep it consistent across the board.
