Right now I'm interested in learning a bit more about the following:

+ The user registration component and how to increase it's capabilities. ie:
+ approval of registration via a payment system
+ increasing the number and types of fields on registration
+ how to store and access the data from these fields
+ approval of registration by admin only

+ Granulated permissions within Joomla 1.5 synchronised with other systems of granulated permissions within integrated (non-Joomla) forum and gallery software.

+ Joomla payment systems, and tracking users when payments are made via an external payment gateway. (I have yet to experiment properly with OpenFreeway...)

I've discovered the beginnings of some solutions, so if you're working on something similar drop me a line, and we may be able to complete them.
