The next meeting of the Melbourne Joomla User Group will be on Wednesday March 24th from 6:30pm.
Topic: Martin Beaumont will be talking to the group about how he's used CiviCRM for a project so that the client could manage event registrations for their annual conference.
On Feb 24 a brainstorm and request for topic volunteers saw a few more topics come out for the rest of 2010.

An enthusiastic group from the Melbourne Joomla User Group got together early on Saturday April 18th to connect up with Amy Stephen for some insights into Joomla. Melbourne JoomlaDay 2009 Presentations
JoomlaDay 2009 has been a fantastic day with experts across a range of levels sharing their expertise with the 130 in attendence.
A range of presentations are now available on Joomladay.org.au and videos from the day will be coming available soon.
Developer workshop
As a part of the Joomla Day in Melbourne, Australia, Andrew Eddie will be running a workshop for Joomla developers (seats are limited and filling fast!). Joomla 1.5 has an incredible degree of freedom for customisation and this workshop will help you to leverage that. Andrew will overview the 1.5 Joomla Framework, particularly the Model-View-Controller (MVC) concepts used in component development.
