The Melbourne Joomla User Group had a great response from the public at the Australian Business & IT Expo 08 held from Sat 16 Aug until Monday 18 August 2008 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank.
A HUGE Interest in Joomla was generated by the Melbourne Joomla User Group at their ABIT08 stall the use of two vertical banners and a large hanging banner at the rear of the stall, together with a stall full of enthusiastic volunteers, We had a very wide range of patrons come in and discuss varying issues of the web. From International Corporations, Executives, to the smallest of business and those who just wanted a personal website that they could administer all had a friendly ear and a story to tell. Usually by the time they left they had concluded that Joomla was definately an option.
We must thank all those that helped along the way " if i start naming them all i will probably forget one " and we look forward to meeting those who will be at the next meeting for the first time.
