Amy Stephen inspires Melbourne Joomla User Group
An enthusiastic group from the Melbourne Joomla User Group got together early on Saturday April 18th to connect up with Amy Stephen for some insights into Joomla. After a few hours, Amy's shared enthusiasm left the group inspired and looking forward to new ways they can maximise their use of Joomla.Covering a range of topics from how she got involved in Joomla, through to a preview of the Tamka blogging tools component soon to be available to the Joomla! Community, Amy's chat showed off a range of great ideas and cool Joomla concepts.
Those who attended or saw the Ustream.tv broadcast were also treated to some exclusive insights into some of the features being developed for Joomla 1.6.
Amy's presentation slides can be downloaded as a PDF below. Also a range of links to sites shown in the presentation are shown in the chat transcript below.

One of the other exciting features of the morning was the first use of Ustream.tv by the Melbourne Joomla User Group. During the webcast, 38 users had connected to the stream, and on average we had 14 views from around the world connected. Feedback on the use of the service has been great, and we'll now be looking at potentially webcasting parts of the MJUG meetings in future following hearing also of Brisbane's success with earlier in the month.
