Is your Joomla site optimised?

On May 27, Mark Giglio walked the Melbourne Joomla User Group through a wealth of information on a range of ways to optimise a Joomla website, and in fact any website.

From caching and turning on GZIP compression through to using some advanced tools to diagnose where your site may need improvment due to the size of images and code on the site, the session had group members walking away contemplating where they could make changes to their sites to improve performance.

By making some of these changes, already users have been indicating anywhere from a 20% to tenfold performance and speed increases on their sites.
