Sydney Joomla User Group
The Joomla Sydney User Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Join the next meeting via our Meetup Group here.
Time: 6:00 - 8:30 pm | Google Map | Follow us on Twitter
The Joomla Sydney User Group also runs a number of other events during the year, including our annual Sydney joomla conference.
In this meetup, we'll be looking at Upgrading/Migrating to Joomla 2.5 in more detail with some live demos. We will be exploring the Joomla 1.5 migration and looking at JUpgrade and SP Upgrade.
After that we though we'd try something new and have a "Mistakes I've made competition". So we've all made stupid decisions or done something that has ended in disaster. Maybe you've ignored the warning signs and taken on a client from hell, or maybe you've accidentally deleted a critical file that has brought your website to a grounding halt. So bring along your war stories and we will compete to see who has made the worst mistake, and see what we can learn from other peoples experiences. At the end we will vote and award a prize for the best story.

In this meeting we are going to take a look at this new version of Virtuemart.
For a long time Virtuemart has been one of the most popular e commerce extensions for Joomla. In December 2011, after 2 years of development, the VirtueMart team proudly released the first stable version of the new VirtueMart 2 Core.
